Our Story
United Precision Grinding was founded to meet the growing demand for specialized precision grinding services in the Gulf Coast industrial sector. As the sister company to United Valve, a respected name in valve repair and refurbishment, we bring decades of valve industry expertise to every grinding project.
Our journey began with a simple observation: the Gulf Coast region’s valve manufacturers, oil and gas operators, and industrial facilities needed a precision grinding partner who truly understood their applications, particularly valve applications. Traditional grinding shops could handle basic surface, OD & ID grinding, but they lacked the specialized equipment, technical knowledge, and industry experience necessary to tackle complex valve components such as rising-rotating plug valve and slab gate valve parts.
We built United Precision Grinding specifically to fill that gap. We invested in one of the region’s largest vertical grinder fleets, acquired the best surface grinding equipment available, and assembled a team of experienced grinder operators who understand the critical nature of precision grinding in industrial applications. The team is led by one of the most respected and experienced grind shop managers on the Gulf Coast.
